Credit: space.com New details provided by the European Space Agency's (ESA) Rosetta spacecraft has revealed a significant increase in the amount of water “pouring” out of the comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko, on which the mission’s Philae lander touched down  in November. According to scientists, the 2.5-mile-wide comet was releasing about 1.2 liters of water into space every second at the end of August last year. A study based on the observations made by NASA’s Microwave Instrument for Rosetta Orbiter (MIRO) aboard the spacecraft, was published in a special Thursday issue of the journal  Science . “In observations over a period of three months [June through August, 2014], the amount of water in vapor form that the comet was dumping into space grew about tenfold,” Sam Gulkis, principal investigator of the MIRO instrument at NASA, and the study’s lead author,  said  in a statement.   Read more >> Source:   http://www.msn.com

And some of these craters are hundreds of millions of years old. So it’s unusual for there to be a completely fresh impact on the surface of Mars: but that’s just what NASA scientists discovered looking through a recent batch of images returned from NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. You’re looking at an image taken by the Mars Context Camera, an instrument on board the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter. In an older photograph taken of the region in February 2012, there was just a bunch of old craters. And then, in the newer image, taken June 2014, this fresh scar on the surface of Mars is clearly visible. No crater… then crater. UFO sighting alert: Mysterious eagle-eye shaped object spotted hovering over London Eye during New Year spectacular By Kabita Maharana A still image from a video with a suspected UFO hovering over London Eye during the New Year celebrations(Everything/YouTube) UFO sightings have been reported from various parts of the world duringNew Year celebrations and in London, an eagle eye-shaped flying object was spotted hovering over the London Eye during the fireworks display. A weird green light was distinctly spotted as fireworks lit the night sky. It appeared to be circular in shape – similar to that of the  Huston UFO  – and many suspect it was not a Chinese lantern. The mysterious object was flying in an unusual circular motion, behind the London Eye, and it faded as it moved in the opposite direction of the River Thames,  The Metro  reported. Many of those who saw the footage of the alien light on YouTube said that it could have been a UFO, while others be
