Killers Behind The Badge: NewsOne’s Investigative Series On Police Brutality In Black America

From Abner Louima and Amadou Diallo (pictured below right) to Sean Bell(pictured left) and Oscar Grant, Black men in the United States of America are murdered, beaten, and violated by officers of the law sworn to “protect and serve” them. Men, such as Darryll C. Price,Lorenzo Collins, Roger Owensby Jr.,Jeffrey Irons, and Timothy Thomas, were all found guilty and lynched for the crime of being Black in America.

 From the Civil Rights era of hoses, tear gas and dogs, to the iconic imagery of the

late-Rodney King being beaten by officers, Black America has a special and urgent need to understand the pathology behind police brutality. The 4th amendment clearly
 states that “the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated and no warrants shall issue without probable cause.”

(REUTERS/Mike Blake) Canada experienced a very high number of reported UFO sightings in 2015, according to an  annual survey  released by Winnipeg, Manitoba-based Ufology Research. Chris Rutkowski, one of the researchers that compiled the survey, told CBC that reported sightings in Canada last year were the second highest since the survey began in 1989. There were 1,267 reported sightings of UFOs in 2015, according to the report, up from 1,021 in 2014. The highest number of reported sightings was 1,981 in 2012. Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 black box in an area 10km by 10km

Credit: news.com.au THE Prime Minister has given the most detailed information about where the crucial black box flight recorders from missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 are expected to be. Tony Abbott gave Chinese President  Xi Jinping  a private and detailed briefing in Beijing about the latest on the search for the missing  Boeing 777-200ER  aircraft which had 154 Chinese people on board. The MP told the President before a State dinner with the Australian premiers at theGreat Hall of the People in Beijing — an unprecedented audience — that search teams led by the Australian ship Ocean Shield had narrowed down the area in the Indian Ocean where pings from the flight recorders are being received to a grid of around 10km by 10km.
